Chainat Tour

Chainat Tour Co., Ltd. was first registered as a commercial partnership in 1993 (B.E. 2536) by a group of friends and relatives, including Mr. Kiang Paiboonrungrueang, Mr. Chatchawan Lertphonwiset, Mr. Kittisak Lertphonwiset, Mr. Songwit Chinnabut, and Mrs. Yuan Puprasert, among others.

At that time, the bus terminal was located in the city center, near what is today the municipal market. The company therefore rented a building from Chai Nat Municipality and began operating a ticket counter and boarding point there from 15 July 1994 (B.E. 2537), starting with 4 first-class, air-conditioned 40-seat buses running Asia Route 906, Bangkok - In Buri - Chai Nat. With the management team's vision, the company petitioned the Department of Land Transport to survey a new route and applied for a concession to operate Route 8, Bangkok - Sankha Buri - Chai Nat, using vehicles that met every standard. Most recently, in 2025 (B.E. 2568), the Department of Land Transport opened a new concession for a split section of Route 8, Bangkok - Sawaeng Ha - Chai Nat, bringing the total to three routes.

Looking back to when public bus travel was at its most popular, the company operated around 30 large buses. As government policy shifted toward broader public access and younger generations' travel preferences changed, the company gradually switched to vans and minibuses, adapting to circumstances along the way. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the company discontinued all large bus services entirely, keeping only vans and gradually transitioning further to minibuses.

Today, Route 906 operates with 6 minibuses and Route 8 operates with 8 minibuses, with plans to expand the fleet to a target of 10 vehicles.
